It was too cold in here to build up a good sweat, but that didn’t mean her muscles hadn’t gotten a good workout. As she stretched and relaxed in the afterglow, she felt muscles she hadn’t felt in ages pull and release in that familiar way that meant they’d finally been used again. Appreciated. Those internal muscles that were designed for pleasure but had too long been dormant.
Not just those muscles, but the ones in her legs and arms and back and neck – even her shoulders – had been utilized tonight for pleasure. Her body felt lax and tight at the same time. Used, manipulated, twisted and contorted. In oh, so very sweet ways.
Everyone kept saying she needed a new relationship, but those emotions had been entirely absent tonight. So maybe what she’d needed was this – just this. Gloriously passionate sex with someone completely improper.
She smiled to herself as she heard him come back into the room.
Tomorrow would bring its own stress and problems, but tonight, just for tonight, she wasn’t going to let this gift slip away.
She took the offered bottle of water and sipped it slowly, enjoying the play of candlelight on the slick smoothness of Spike’s flesh as he lifted the blanket off the floor and covered her with it, then slid in beside her.
She wanted to ask him what had made him kiss her tonight; what had made him lead her back to his crypt and treat her with such gentleness that she’d felt safe enough to give in. What had made him know how to touch her; know just what she needed and how she needed it.
She wanted to ask, but she didn’t.
It wasn’t important, not right now. Questions could wait for tomorrow. She put the cap back on the bottle and set it on the floor.
Then she turned to Spike and went back to cherishing his gift.
The End
