"There he is, the one who watches me."

Drusilla came floating into the room they were holding Giles in. He could see sunlight hitting the floor and knew it must be daytime. It was quiet, so the others must still be asleep. What was Drusilla doing here?

"You've been watching me," she sing-songed. "Watching me watch you, watching you bleed."

She came and sat on his lap and her hands went around his body. He felt her untie his arms, but they'd been tied behind his back for so long that there was no blood flow in them and he couldn't move them yet.

"Watching is who you are, isn't it, my pretty pet?"

He nodded, hoping that his agreement would give him time to get his arms and legs able to move again.

"Do you miss her?" she asked as her form faded away and Jenny appeared on his lap.

"Yes." It wasn't real, he had to keep telling himself that. Only an illusion to his confused and tired mind.

"She misses you as well."

She leaned in and kissed him then. Kissed him in the way Jenny used to - it felt so much like Jenny's kiss.

The façade melted away but Giles was too far gone to care. He was kissing Jenny again.
