She doesn't know why it didn't work with Riley. He was everything she was supposed to want in a guy; everything she told herself - after Angel left - that she needed in someone to love. But she hadn't loved him enough; at least, not from his point of view. That's what he'd said. He'd been the one keeping secrets, and somehow he made it seem as if that were her fault.

She didn't believe in karma - before now - but maybe there's something to it.
