He'd only meant to apologise.

Trying to kill someone while you were evil was something you just had to apologise for, right?

So how he'd ended up here, in Willow's bed, watching her pant beneath him, tasting the salty sweat on her skin - well, he wasn't really sure how that had happened.

Something about killing her fish. He definitely remembered discussing the killing of her fish. And then things got a little grey. Something about how he could never lose his soul again because he would be aware now. And Willow saying he couldn't take the chance with Buffy again until he knew for sure. Yes, that had definitely been said.

Willow had started it, this was her fault. So later, days from now, when they were done with this, he'd make her apologise to him.

And who knew? With a little luck, that apology would lead where this one had.
