She'd always been just Buffy's mom. But as he drew her as she slept, he noticed the delicate angle of her nose, the softness of her lips, the curve of her cheek. The line of her jaw and the tantalising hollow of her throat.

She's beautiful.

Much more so than her daughter.

Maybe he'll have to rearrange his strategy and kill her sooner than he'd planned. Anyone who made him suffer this repulsive humanity didn't deserve to live.
