She never sleeps, not really. Not with the weight of the world now on her shoulders. Buffy's gone, Giles is gone and soon, she knows, Tara will be gone too. They go through the motions, but they both know its not working. Nothing's been the same since Buffy… left. She can't even make her mind form the right words.

Since Buffy… … … died.

And she isn't the same girl she used to be. She's a woman now, with the responsibilities of a child and a mortgage and the Hellmouth all taking her time and energy. There's nothing left for Tara anymore. She sees it coming, she sees the look in Tara's eyes. Or rather, the look that is no longer there. The emptiness where once there was (seemingly) unconditional love.

Maybe its better this way. She wasn't meant to be happily in love. After all, Oz left her too. Best to be prepared for the inevitable.

It never occurs to her that she's been pushing Tara away. That the reason Tara leaves is because that look is no longer in Willow's eyes, not the other way around.
